Randy Davis ~

Guitar/Lead Vocals/Backup Vocals

Randy began playing piano, guitar and trombone during high school.  After a tour in Viet Nam, serving with the Navy, he returned to seriously playing guitar.  Hooking up with an old classmate (Larry Voth) together with Wes Holden and David Shewmaker, they formed the Elsea Smith Road Band.  For the past 30 years, Randy has written and co-written many of the songs.  You can enjoy them on the newly released CD, "Smile and Wave".

Les Holder ~

Bass

In addition to playing bass for Elsea Smith, Les plays with the BluzBenderz.  He lays down a solid bottom for the group.  He travels the country looking for the best blues joints and great bands to learn from.  Les is inspired by the likes of Victor Wooten.   He has surrounded himself with good friends and has been blessed that they happen to be good musicians as well.  He has also been a member of the Kansas City Blues Society.

David Shewmaker ~

Harmonica/Slide Guitar/Recorder/ Trumpet/Lead Vocals/Backup Vocals

David is the classic side man, filling in the voids with a wicked harmonica, guitar, slide guitar, vocals, and occasionally the trumpet and recorder.  David has written and co-written several songs on the new CD.  In addition to Elsea Smith, he also plays with the BluzBenderz.  David's harp is featured on three cuts of Bobby Carson's CD, "The Other Side of Midnight" released in 2004.  David is a member of the Kansas City Blues Society, and tries to hit as many open blues jam as possible.

Larry Voth ~

Guitar/Lead Vocals/Backup Vocals

The front man for Elsea Smith, Larry is THE ROCK.   He is founding member of the band and brings out the best in all of us.  Starting out in the late 60's, he played guitar with the Court Jesters who later morphed into the Casuals.  Larry is a solid guitar player that creates the center.  Larry, a writer and singer, guitar player, and friend, inspires the whole band.  Larry has written and co-written many of the songs on our new CD.

Nancy Krieg ~

Drums

Nancy Krieg grew up in Mid-Missouri and was playing dances in the local country clubs and resorts at the age of 15. A foundation in jazz, big band, blues and rock styles allows her the solid timing that propels Elsea Smith with a steady groove. "I move the dancers, and love what I do." She is the newest member of Elsea and was verily hooked on Motown as a youngster and grew up with classic rock.
